Applications are invited for admission to the PhD programme in Sociology for the academic year 2014 at The Department of Sociology, University of Calcutta, Kolkata:
How to apply:
- The application form for the programme may be downloaded from the University Website http://www.caluniv.ac.in
- Applications are to be submitted to the Department after payment of Rs. 100 at the University Cash Counter on all working days before 2 p.m.
- All candidates (NET/SET, M.Phil., and non-NET) are to submit the filled-up form.
- Candidates who do not have NET/SET or M.Phil. have to sit for the written test or the Entrance Test. Such candidates are advised to consult the P.G. syllabus of the Department of Sociology, University of Calcutta. Candidates declared successful at the written test are to appear at the Viva Voce test along with the NET/SET and M.Phil. candidates.
- Reservations will be as per U.G.C. rules.
Important Dates:
Last date for submission of application forms 25th September, 2013
Entrance Test (for non-NET/SET & non-M.Phil. candidates): 30th September, 2013
Results of the written test: 7th October, 2013
Viva Voce Test for all candidates: 23rd October, 2013
Results: 15th November, 2013
Admission to the Programme: 18th to 22nd November, 2013
